Boone, North Carolina - “Firefly Capital of the World”

Listed by travel journalist as one of four ultimate outdoor adventure destinations in North America, the town of Boone offers residents an array of outdoor activities year round. Named after the notable pioneer Daniel Boone, who lived in the area from 1760 – 1769, Boone, NC has a rich history that has been preserved in its quant downtown.
