Having long enjoyed proximity to Raleigh and its urban amenities, today's Garner, with more than 18,000 people, is quickly growing as its shopping, entertainment, and employment opportunities expand at a rapid pace. Along with quick access to everything the triangle area has to offer, Garner residents can be at the beach, on the eastern coast of the state in approximately 2-3 hours. They can also travel to the mountains, in the western part of the state of North Carolina, in approximately 4-5 hours.

Led by the Garner Educational Foundation, Garner is a community involved in its schools, and features one of the strongest high school science programs in North Carolina. The community proudly rallies around its strong high school sports program. Garner is a great place to raise a family and a great community in which to become involved.
