Local businesses offer an every type of water sport you can imagine including rentals of house boats, pontoons, canoes, kayaks, speed boats, jet skis, anglers, deck boats, paddleboats, sailboats… the list goes on! If you're not up for driving one yourself, contact one of the many companies that offer chartered cruises. These captained and crewed vessels provide luxurious trips on the lake and oftentimes afford exquisite meals and party options.

Continue your lake adventure on a day-long fishing trip either on your own or with a guide. Known for its vast fishing opportunities, Lake Norman hosts a plethora of tournaments annually including some on the National Bass Circuit as well as a number of Bassmaster events. Or spend a day splashing around on your own at Lake Norman State Park where swimming is abutted by a 125-yard sandy beach with all the amenities.

If you're more of a land rover, take your pick from any of the 15+ golf courses, tennis clubs, and soccer fields, gyms, bowling and even dancing venues in the area. For a non-sporting activity, visit one of the countless water parks, ranches, farms, or any of the beautiful museums and historic downtown areas, plantations, parks and sites. Art, theatre, music, dining… there really isn't anything that you won't find in the Lake Norman milieu!
