Leland, North Carolina has emerged as a popular living destination, with its population more than quadrupling since the year 2000. Across the Cape Fear River in Brunswick County and bordered by the Brunswick River to the east, Leland is just minutes from historic downtown Wilmington. Leland is also convenient to Myrtle Beach, the quaint town of Southport, and the area’s many pristine beaches.

From first-time homebuyers to retirees, Leland has a variety of neighborhoods to suit any lifestyle. Along the Highway 17 corridor are the popular neighborhoods of Brunswick Forest, Magnolia Greens, Waterford, and Juniper Creek. Compass Pointe is a new master plan community to the west along Highway 74/76. Highway 133, which runs parallel to the Brunswick River, provides access to a number of communities. Although technically in Belville, the upscale, riverfront communities of Highland Shores and Rice Hope highlight the area’s neighborhood choices.

Championship golf courses, restaurants, shops, and other fine amenities are attractive draws to the area, and more businesses are in the planning stages. The Leland, NC area continues to grow at a controlled rate, and is poised to prosper with its variety of lifestyle offerings.
