The Town of Bedford, NH

At the junction of 101 and 93 sits a beautiful New England town of approximately 19,000 people…Bedford, New Hampshire. Bedford is a suburb of Manchester and is located a stone’s throw from Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. Bedford is a bedroom community with many residents commuting to the Boston loop via the excellent Southern NH access to the highways and Boston and surrounding areas.

There are many beautiful homes and subdivisions in this quaint town. Bedford is known for its high end homes and neighborhoods. All commercial areas are located along the 101 and South River Road corridors, making for quick access but also effectively separating these areas from the rural, residential areas of the town.

The town is served by 3 elementary schools (Memorial, Peter Woodbury, and Riddle Brook), McKelvie Intermediate School, Lurgio Middle School, and the newly constructed Bedford High School. Bedford offers public kindergarten.

Beford offers the best of Southern NH, nestled in the country yet complete and quick access to the commuting corridor and malls, shopping and specialty stores.

Make sure you stop and visit the Bedford Village Inn (locally referred to as BVI). It is a wonderful dining experience. The Bedford Village Inn was once the site of a working farm built in 1810. The barn, the inn and the silo have been restored and serve as award winning restaurants and lodging with well appointed guest suites.

Another property that was saved from development is the Joppa Hill Farm which currently serves as an educational farm facility offering tours and educational programs for the local community.
