Mercer County is located on the banks of the Delaware River, nearly equidistant from New York and Philadelphia. Its population of 350,000 is divided among a number of municipalities that comprise the county’s 229 miles. Mercer County is perhaps best known as the home of several important educational facilities, including Princeton University, The College of New Jersey, Rider University, and the Princeton Theological Seminary.
