Welcome to East Hanover, NJ

Located only 25 minutes from New York City, East Hanover, NJ is the gateway to Morris County. Known for low taxes, top ranked schools, convenience to dining and shopping and much more residents rarely leave this suburban town. Drive through town on Ridgedale Avenue and you will experience the small town feel of schools, parks, houses of worship and a small shopping district. Explore a little deeper and you will find beautiful neighborhoods filled with tree lined streets where children still play outside safely and walk to one another’s homes.

The East Hanover school district is made up of three schools including grades K-8. Frank J. Smith School serves grades K-2 (354 students), Central School serves grades 3-5 (395 students) and East Hanover Middle School serves grades 6-8(395 students). High School students attend Hanover Park High School located in East Hanover. Hanover Park serves East Hanover as well as Florham Park high school students. Saint Rose of Lima Academy is a Catholic School in East Hanover which is operated under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Paterson.

There are many diverse housing options available in East Hanover. There are townhouse complexes such as Castle Ridge or Hanover Park, Age Restricted housing for 55 and over, and a wide range of neighborhoods ranging from the affordable home (1,500 sq. ft) to the most luxurious (4,000+ sq ft).

Employment opportunities may be the final piece of this most attractive puzzle. East Hanover is surrounded by business and industry. It is home to Novartis Pharmaceutical as well as Kraft foods. Surrounding towns are home to many more companies and we are also located 10 minutes to Morristown, 20 minutes to Newark and as previously mentioned 25 minutes to NYC.
