Woodbridge is the oldest original township in the state of New Jersey, having been settled in the autumn of 1664. It is centrally located and is commonly referred to as "the crossroads of New Jersey.” It is convenient to the New Jersey turnpike and the garden state parkway along with many major state highways.
Woodbridge is considered in the metropolitan New York area, since, we are within one hour of New York City via train or bus. We have an Amtrak train station in our township and we are within 20 minutes of Newark International Airport.
Our fabulous "jersey seashore" is within an hour's drive for swimming, boating and fishing. Our boardwalks are nationally known and provide enjoyment for the entire family. We are also within an hour's drive for winter sports such as skiing. We are near Rutgers and Princeton universities and have a local community college. Our shopping malls are a source of pride along with a large variety of ethnic restaurants.
We are a larger township but with a feeling of community.
