Welcome to Smithtown, NY

The town of Smithtown is located in Suffolk County on Long Island, New York approximately 45 miles outside of New York City. This middle class community has the amenities of fine restaurants, shopping, and commercial businesses, all set on beautifully landscaped streets. Smithtown holds local parades and numerous events at the parks. It is also home to Hoyt Farm and Nature Preserve, which includes an animal farm, playground and many educational programs. This farm is open 365 days a year with the water playground that is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Smithtown has one of the larger school districts on Long Island complete with 2 high schools, 3 middle schools and 9 elementary schools. The school district takes pride in students’ outstanding performance in academics, sports and everyday life.
