Camden County, one of twenty-one counties that make up New Jersey, is located on the banks of the Delaware River. Because of its proximity to Philadelphia, it is considered part of the Philly metro area. As a result, many commuters relocate to Camden County, either to work across the river or in one of the county’s three major employment fields: healthcare, government, and education. Both Camden Community College and Rutgers University-Camden call the county home.
More than 500,000 people live in Camden County, almost 80,000 of them in the county seat of Camden. And many more choose to relocate one of Camden County’s 37 municipalities each year. Cherry Hill, one of the largest, was ranked by CNN Money not only as the 8th safest place to live but the 47th best place to live. This is due in large part to the township’s 19 award-winning schools, 225-acre park, and the popular Cherry Hill Mall.
