Welcome to Newnan, GA
Newnan, Georgia, the “City of Homes” was spared during the Civil War because many of its buildings were used as war-time hospitals. As a result, the city has six historic districts filled with beautiful antebellum homes.
Residents of the historic districts often walk to the town square, where they enjoy shopping, dining, coffee, and listening to the hourly bells of local downtown churches.
But don’t be fooled; just as Newnan offers the charm of living in a small southern town, growth over the past twenty years also makes it perfect for those who prefer the conveniences found in larger cities. Outside of the historic districts, Newnan has modern communities with new homes and impressive amenities, as well as communities with ‘less action’ – something for everyone. Additionally, Newnan has an abundance of shopping and restaurants, recreation facilities such as soccer and softball fields, movie theaters, a fine arts Centre, great medical facilities, and a wide array of churches.
Residents have loved calling Newnan home for decades, and I’m sure you will too!
