Brecksville, OH – a Beautiful Suburb of Greater Cleveland

The city of Brecksville is ideally situated at the southern border of Cuyahoga and Summit Counties. Easy access to the major interstate highways of I-77, I-271 and I-80 where you can be almost anywhere in a reasonable amount of time. Brecksville is just about 20-25 minutes south of downtown Cleveland and Lake Erie. If you head south you are also only about 20 minutes from downtown Akron. The city of Brecksville is included in the “Emerald Necklace” a chain of park Reservations linked together to form one of the oldest Ohio park systems called the Cleveland Metro Parks, which also includes the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The park systems include numerous hiking trails, bike paths, bridal paths, stables, picnic areas and plenty of wildlife, including wild turkey, coyote and whitetail deer. The city of Brecksville has an old town square appeal, but includes many local shops, restaurants and amenities.

The Brecksville School system has been rated high compared to other schools in the area. The city offers a wide variety of housing from high end condominiums/townhouses to some very spacious custom built homes. This well desired area has always offered a wide variety of leisure activities within the city itself or minutes from downtown Cleveland where you can enjoy professional teams like the (NBA) Cleveland Cavaliers, or the (MLB) Cleveland Indians and the (NFL) Cleveland Browns. There are plenty of other attractions you might enjoy like the Cleveland Art Museum, the Cleveland Natural History Museum or the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. Children as well as adults always enjoy the Great Lakes Science Center or the Cleveland Zoo. There are many public and private golf courses all over the Greater Cleveland Area, the closest being the Sleepy Hollow golf course located right off Brecksville road south of route 82.

If you need to travel by air you are not far from the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport just to the west, the Cleveland Burke Lakefront Airport or the Akron Canton Airport a little further south. Brecksville is very fortunate to be so close to two very excellent health facilities known around the world for their outstanding doctors and surgeons that work at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital and the University Hospitals. There is so much more to see and enjoy in and around the city of Brecksville, Ohio, take your time and you will understand why it is a great place to live.
