Located partly in Green Township and partly in Cincinnati, Covedale, OH is a residential community established in the 1820s. It was annexed to Cincinnati in 1830. This family-oriented community has beautiful Tudor-style and older brick homes, which have a consistently strong resale value. Good schools, shopping, a public golf course, a community center and a performing arts center are some of the attractive features of this neighborhood. The Covedale Center for Performing Arts, once an old movie house, is home to Young People’s Theatre and winter home for Showboat Majestic, a floating theater and a National Historic Landmark. Its beacon tower cupola, which has been restored, is back in place. Cincinnati Public Schools begins construction of a new Covedale school, PreK–6 to open in fall 2008. The school offers a magnet college preparatory curriculum for grades 4–6.
