Living in Forest Park, OH

The land of Forest Park, Ohio is traceable to the Symmes Purchase of 1794. Housing choices include older, single-family homes to new condominiums and apartments. A Tree City USA, Forest Park boasts hundreds of acres of greenbelts and parks. It is the third largest city in Hamilton County, with good schools and recreational activities. There are sports leagues, parks, tennis and basketball courts, baseball and soccer fields. Community events include Concert on the Green, Jazz in the Park Festival and Forest Park soccer invitational. The region’s largest mall, Cincinnati Mills (formerly Forest Fair Mall) straddles Forest Park and Fairfield. The community’s location, just south of I-275, gives residents quick access to the area’s expressway system. More than 550 companies operate in Forest Park, and its largest employers are Union Central Life Insurance, JCPenney Credit Service Center and Ohio Casualty Group. Incorporated as a village in 1961, Forest Park became a city in 1968.
