Welcome to Hyde Park, OH

Convenient, charming, Hyde Park has it all. Just minutes from downtown, Hyde Park, Ohio has the allure of an attractive and vibrant village square with everything from Graeter’s ice cream shop, to exclusive boutique shopping. There are wonderful restaurants with outdoor dining, a coffee house, plus numerous other businesses reflecting the daily life of the residents. Hyde Park has beautiful tree lined streets with charming old homes which show off their meticulous care. Many of the streets in this area are winding roadways opening up hidden treasures of these lovely homes, some tucked into hillsides overlooking the Ohio River and the City. Hyde Park is known for the City’s original observatory which is still intact today and has become a cherished icon of this community. This historical landmark is open for tours and draws much attention from those who live nearby.

Originally called Mornington, Hyde Park’s name was changed to reference the more affluent community of Hyde Park, New York. The hope was to attract residents of greater wealth. Today, Hyde Park has many different styles of homes and is attractive to families, young professionals as well individuals who enjoy condo or apartment living.

Close by, shopping calls one to the Rookwood Pavillion, a shopping center with a wide variety of numerous stores, providing all the shopping one could need, right in the area. Hyde Park is accessible by car, conveniently located near the major artery of I71.
