From professional, scientific, and technical pursuits to retail, food service, and the arts the prospects here are plentiful. If you work too hard, and you know you do, you can relax at one of the area's many scenic settings. Blacklick Woods Metro Park is a local favorite for its educational programs, walking and bike trails, wildlife, nature center, and picnic and play areas. If that approach isn't “fore” you, you can drive those work-week thoughts right out of mind at this park's 72-par public golf course! Love the nightlife? Kennedy Park has lighted tennis courts, 10 baseball diamonds, playgrounds, a skate park, and a bike path. Speaking of nightlife, a short drive past our international airport into downtown Columbus offers all of the culture of a sophisticated metropolitan city.
Up for the unusual? Then you won't want to miss the annual Tomato festival. Which ever side of the fruit vs. vegetable debate you favor this hardy event has it all from tomato judging contests (no throwing rotten tomatoes), a parade, games, food, entertainment – including a Civil War encampment where re-enactments are held, a car and bike cruise-in, and of course all things tomato – or to-ma-to. You decide. As home of the first tomato to be used in commercial products, Reynoldsburg has deep roots in our nation's agricultural history and you could, too. You might even be elected tomato festival queen!
In other local events, the Scottish-American society celebrates its heritage with Tartan day activities. There's the Labor Day Fitness Challenge, wheelchairs welcome. Families with kids – both human and canine – will enjoy Picnic with the Pups, full day of dog-friendly fun and not far up the track is National Trail Raceway – an NHRA championship drag racing facility where the Pontiac and Mopar Nationals take place each year.
Local schools are a big part of this community which sponsors school sporting events, high school band concerts, and prom and after prom activities. Also a giving community, there are many local charity events rounding out Reynoldsburg as city of genuine good will and a great place to call home.
