Welcome to Vandalia, Ohio

Vandalia is located just seven miles north of Dayton, Ohio in Montgomery County. Vandalia hosts the original “Crossroads of America,” the site where the Old National Trail (Route 40) and Dixie Highway intersect. Today, the intersection of I-70 and I-75 is located just south of Vandalia and is considered the Crossroads of America.

With a population of over 14,000, the Vandalia community enjoys an excellent school system, a state-of-the-art Sports Complex that includes the Vandalia Recreation Center, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, a walking path and play ground equipment.

The Vandalia Recreation Center features a 27-foot climbing wall, a walking/jogging track, aerobics/activity studio, gym, locker rooms, childcare, in-door aquatic center and more.

Vandalia also enjoys 26 area parks, Cassel Hills Golf Course, an active Senior Citizens Center and is in close proximity to the Dayton International Airport.
