The Cincinnati Suburb of Western Hills, OHThe diverse area of Western Hills, Ohio is spread over the western side of the City of Cincinnati and three townships. A popular, family-oriented community, Western Hills offers older and newer homes; many single-family ranch style in a range of prices. Some homes have large lots (some dressed with geese or statues of the Virgin Mary). Property values here remain strong. It is home to Western Hills High School, which is synonymous with high school baseball, having produced professional ballplayers such as Pete Rose, Russ Nixon and Don Zimmer. The new Cincinnati Steam, a Great Lakes Summer Collegiate Baseball League team, plays at the newly renovated Western Hills High’s McCarthy’s Stadium. This strongly German- influenced community is home to public golf courses, Western Hills Country Club and Western Hills Plaza. Mercy Franciscan Hospital, with 281 beds, is also here.
