The town of Geronimo is located in Comanche County, Oklahoma, in the southwest part of the state, 97 miles from Oklahoma City. A quiet residential community, Geronimo has a population of just over 900 people. Its peaceful rural atmosphere serves as a retreat from Oklahoma’s more urban locales, and yet when they want to enjoy the fast-paced city, Geronimo residents are within a two to four hour drive from Oklahoma City, Dallas-Ft. Also, for boating, swimming and fishing recreation, Geronimo and Lawton residents frequently visit the two beautiful regional lakes located just north of Lawton—Lake Ellsworth and Lake Lawtonka.
