The City of Oviedo, Florida

Oviedo and its surrounding communities certainly have it all when it comes to location. Situated in eastern Seminole County, Oviedo is ideally located. The Greeneway (417) puts all of Central Florida within easy reach, with several of the world’s most beautiful beaches and famed attractions less than 50 minutes away. Kennedy Space Center is a 45-minute drive and residents need only to step outside any door in East Seminole county to catch a spectacular view of a shuttle launch. Major employers, including Siemens Westinghouse, Lockheed Martin and a host of high-tech companies in Research Park are minutes away. The University of Central Florida is just south of Oviedo. Like much of Central Florida, Oviedo is experiencing a residential and commercial boom. The Little Econlockhatchee River, a number of lakes, Riverside Park and a community center provide fishing, swimming, soccer, basketball, tennis and other facilities.
