Bed and Breakfasts in profusion, Vacation Rentals, Campgrounds and Roller Coasters at nearby Knoebel’s Amusement Park tempt friends and family to visit.

For more relaxed entertainment, the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble and the Bloomsburg University Artist Series (both the professional touring and the college performance series) schedule a calendar full of talent from which to choose. Locally you may wish to visit jazz, blues or bluegrass live - or visit one of three Art Galleries.

Bloomsburg University is a part of the State System of higher education providing accessible, affordable quality education in degree and graduate programs. The University schools more than 8,000 students annually through its almost 400 professors.

The town boasts its own Community Hospital and Airport. Large employers are the College, the Hospital, nearby Geisinger Medical Center, Columbia County government, public utilities and diverse nearby industry like Pepsi-Co and Kawneer.
