About Palm Beach Gardens, FloridaWhen John D. MacArthur began to develop a new Florida community north of West Palm Beach in 1960, he had a specific vision for what the new city should be like. It was to be a “garden city,” a place where people could live, work, and raise their families amidst the beauty of rich foliage and winding waterways. Palm Beach Gardens, Florida has several waterfront properties for sale as well has beautiful town homes and condos, many with stunning panoramic views.
Today, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida has grown into a lively city of over 45,000, but has stayed true to MacArthur's vision. Even as the city continues to grow, over 30% of the land is devoted to green space, and the streets are lined with mature shade trees.
Home to the headquarters of the Professional Golfers' Association of America, Palm Beach Gardens has been called the Golf Capital of the World. The city also offers a brand new open-air shopping center, Downtown at the Gardens, which features a movie theater and over 70 fine restaurants and specialty shops. “Gardens,” as the city is often called by locals, is less than 3 miles from the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean, and less than 15 miles from Worth Avenue, CityPlace, and the Palm Beach International Airport.
