Most of the residents of this charming county can be found around the 352-acre man-made lake, Lake Monticello. The remainder of the county is generally rural and offers the best of that kind of lifestyle. This pristine lake offers swimming, fishing, boating, water-skiing or anything else you enjoy on open water. Five beaches surround the lake along with a marina and boat ramp making it the place to be on a pleasant or hot day.
