About Palos Hills, Illinois

Palos Hills is located southwest of Chicago and offers both historic residences as well as the opportunity to build your dream home from scratch. Founded as an artists' colony in the 1920s, Palos Hills has a wide variety of housing options, ranging from rustic cottages to large estates. Home buyers also have many choices of townhouse or condominium developments, and it is common for new buyers to tear down the existing property on their land and build anew.

Palos Hills operates its own 9-hole golf course, and there are 20 others in the surrounding area. The town has an extensive park system and borders the Cook County Forest Preserves, which offer miles of trails for hiking and bicycling. The Chicago Ridge and Orland Park malls are nearby, and the Palos Hills area offers many options for dining and entertainment for all ages.
