About Plain City, Ohio

Residents of Plain City, Ohio call this “a great small town close to everything you need,” located only half an hour away to the airport and downtown and primarily a farming community. Plain City is presided over by a mayor and a village council. It is a friendly town with very good schools and a strong sense of community spirit. In the summer, it hosts the Miami Valley Steam Threshers Show featuring Ohio-bred tractors, plus more than 100 arts and crafts vendors. Amish home-style cooking draws not only tourists but also residents to Plain City's landmark, Der Dutchman Restaurant. The Amish landscape also includes the Dutch Kitchen, Amish Cheese House, Yoder's Variety Store, a furniture store, cabinet suppliers and farmers markets. There are 47 acres of park in Plain City, Ohio and housing here is mostly two-story constructions, most with lush land.
