East Greenwich Rhode Island is the wealthiest municipality in Rhode Island, but this doesn't mean they don't keep an eye on the past. Many of the Colonial homes from the original settlers still remain; some as historical landmarks and others as renovated dwellings for the current inhabitants. As you'd expect from living on an island, you are close to water, specifically Narragansett Bay whose many marinas make owning a boat a wise decision. Another benefit of East Greenwich, which is actually in the middle of Rhode Island, is that it's less than 15 minutes from the capital city of Providence. It's most famous landmark is the Aldrich Mansion, a 75 room French Chateau which is used mostly for social events or to gaze at the beauty of estates which simply do not exist in modern form.
