Whether you are attending any of our musical productions, athletic events, or simply enjoying the scenery – they are usually a short drive away.

There is something for everyone in the Rochester area. Looking for a great city where one can walk to restaurants, museums, etc? You will find it here. Looking for that small town feeling? You will find it in one of our 19 towns or 9 villages. Many of these towns look like they could have been the backdrop for the movie ”It's A Wonderful Life.” Looking for green space? You will find it in one of our many parks – including the glacial featured 2500 acre Mendon Ponds Park. Or you can enjoy strolling or biking along the historic Erie Canal. Looking for an area with great education? Rochester is home to 11 colleges and universities, with 4 of its public high schools in the top 100 in the country. Looking for sports or recreation? Rochester has professional baseball, soccer, and hockey teams as well as some of the country's best golf courses. Looking for winter/summer recreation? Bristol Ski Resort, with a 1200 foot vertical drop is only 35 minutes from downtown. For the boating enthusiast, there is Lake Ontario as well as our famed Finger Lakes. The Finger Lakes are also home to some of the best wineries in the country. Looking for affordable housing in Rochester, New York?
