Many visitors fall in love with our 60-mile coastline, abundant golf courses, boundless leisure and entertainment options, and Southern hospitality – and in turn relocate full-time or purchase a second residence here. From North Myrtle Beach to Pawleys Island, our attractions and natural beauty are nearly as diverse as the residents who call this area home. From stately live oaks on former plantations to internationally-known artists performing at local venues, we have a little something for everyone. Whether you’re looking to soak up some rays, take in a show, hit a few tee shots, meander through the gardens or get your thrill-ride on, you’ve come to the right place.

Located only 25 miles from Myrtle Beach, we begin with the areas known as Litchfield Beach and Pawleys Island. Blended with distinct Southern history and nature, this part of the Grand Strand is well-known as a quiet getaway with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and salt marshes and creeks. The tranquil beauty of the salt creeks - abundant with coastal wildlife - set the perfect backdrop for fabulous marsh-front dining, outdoor activities and shopping. Residents can catch dinner directly from their docks, take their boats out for more serious fishing or enjoy an afternoon boat ride in the inlet with family. Many locals will tell you that Murrells Inlet is the heart of the Grand Strand.

Known as family-friendly beaches, Garden City Beach and Surfside Beach each boast their own public piers jutting out into the Atlantic Ocean, along with shopping areas, arcades, entertainment venues, including Legends in Concert, ocean-front dining and tons of outdoor activity. Garden City Beach also offers inlet access for boating enthusiasts and spectacular panoramic views of the inlet and peaceful sunsets over the marsh.

For electric excitement and neon fun, head to Myrtle Beach, one of the most visited destinations on the East Coast.
