About Adams Run, SC

With a population of just under 2000, Adams Run, SC is a quaint, little town about 30 miles south of historic Charleston, SC and close to Parkers Ferry and the Hutton Plantation.

Historically, Adams Run is probably best known for being a military hub during the Civil War. There are markers and monuments to several Confederate Generals and battles as well as numerous war causalities there.

Tourists are invited to tour the ruins of Pon Pon Chapel of Ease on Parkers Ferry Road. Built in 1725 to serve the religious needs of travelers journeying between Charleston and Savannah, Pon Pon Chapel is very reminiscent of colonial churches of the era.
