Living, Working & Playing in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Sioux Falls offers the culture and convenience of a larger city while keeping the hospitality and friendliness of a small town. Sioux Falls has grown from its humble beginning in 1856 to a population of over 150,000. Sioux Falls is home to the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science, the Great Plains Zoo, an Arena and Convention Center, the South Dakota Symphony, the region’s largest mall, as well as numerous pubs and restaurants.

There are many activities and events to keep everyone busy. The annual Jazz Fest welcomes over 90,000 people to a 2-day free outdoor concert. For the sports enthusiast, Sioux Falls boasts minor league teams including Sioux Falls Canaries baseball, Stampede hockey, SkyForce basketball and Storm football. Located just minutes from Sioux Falls is the area’s largest water park, Wild Water West. The city also prides itself on its 70 family-friendly parks, its swimming pools, and its 26-mile paved bike trail that weaves throughout the city.

The Sioux Falls Public Schools continue to rank high in national tests. In addition to public schools, there are many private schools and several universities that call Sioux Falls home. With three major health organizations, several large banking operations, and one of the area’s largest meat processing plants, there is plenty of opportunity for employment. Sioux Falls is a great place to work and live!
