Children living in the Sacramento Region enjoy abundant activities, such as Kids on Kampus, Sacramento Children's Museum, Science Center/Junior Museum, Fairytale Town, Effie Yeaw Nature Center, the Discovery Museum, Sacramento Zoo, the Folsom Zoo and several children's theaters. The Parks and Recreation Department of the City of Sacramento, as well as the many recreation departments of the suburbs surrounding the city, offer myriad educational and entertaining programs for children of all ages.
