Welcome to Salt Lake City, Utah

Salt Lake City, Utah, located in the northeast corner of the Salt Lake Valley, is known for its natural beauty. Its reputation has spread not only coast to coast, but internationally as well; in 2002, the city played host to the Winter Olympics, and its beautiful Wasatch and Oquirrh mountain ranges were showcased all across the world. Salt Lake City is the capital and cultural center of Utah, covering approximately 111 square miles. The city’s metropolitan population of over one million people enjoys unlimited access to the state’s world-class ski resorts, as well as its national parks, which offer an abundance of recreational possibilities all year round. On national average, Salt Lake’s population exhibits a lower median age, and a higher life expectancy. Having so much to offer, it is no wonder that the city attracts the young and young at heart.

For those looking to relocate to Salt Lake City, there are many housing options available. Real estate in Salt Lake City can offer you everything, from moderately priced condominiums in unique communities to lavishly designed luxury homes with mountain views. The Marmalade District on the west side of Capitol Hill, and Sugar House, a neighborhood located on the southeast side of the city, are two increasingly trendy and eclectic areas that have seen recent condominium developments. Two smaller neighborhoods, the 9th & 9th and 15th & 15th (named after their major intersections), take pride in their kitschy shopping districts full of art galleries, clothing retail, salons, restaurants and coffee shops. In 2007, 9th and 9th saw pedestrian friendly sidewalk and street improvements and commissioned artwork for its residents and visitors to enjoy.

But if you are looking for a more established neighborhood, The Avenues may be right for you. This highly desirable neighborhood is located just northeast of Downtown and is situated on the foothills of the Wasatch Range. Homes in The Avenues of Salt Lake City range from historical Victorian era restorations at the base of the foothills to million dollar resort style houses overlooking the city. The Avenues, as well as the neighborhoods of Federal Heights, northeast of the University of Utah, and East Bench, south of the University, all offer gated communities, and many homes that are considered the best Salt Lake City has to offer.
