Welcome to San Rafael, CA

Enjoying a Mediterranean climate, San Rafael not only is centrally located in Marin, but is also at the center of things. San Rafael is the oldest, largest city (population 53,000+) in Marin and is culturally diverse. Rich in Arts & History, the landmark Mission San Rafael Archangel (founded in 1817) is where this city takes its roots and the focal point for such attractions as street painting festivals and professional bicycle racing. Parks, Education Institutions and the Entertainment Industry all within a few miles of each contribute to the uniqueness of San Rafael being the hub of activity as well as a fun, safe, friendly atmosphere to eat, shop and live.
