Attractions in Silver Lake, OR

Some of the natural attractions that are also unique to the Outback region are the aptly named Hole-in-the-Ground—a mysterious one mile-wide crater—and the Crack-in-the-Ground—a two mile-long, 70 feet deep fissure in the earth. Another oddity is the Lost Forest, containing 9,000 acres of ponderosa pines located remotely, 35 miles from any other forest. Silver Lake nature lovers and wildlife observers can enjoy easy access to these wonders, as well as access to the Summer Lake Wildlife Area, Abert Lake, Deep Creek Falls, the Warner Wetlands, and the Hart Mountain National Antelope Refuge.
