Welcome to Solomons Island, MD

The charming maritime community of Solomons Island is home to some of Calvert County’s most desirable real estate. The town’s natural beauty is enhanced by its location at the mouth of the Patuxent River and its proximity to the Calvert Cliffs, which provide Solomon Island’s 2,000 residents with more than 30 miles of Chesapeake Bay coastline. And despite its small size, at just 38 acres, Solomons Island is packed with things to do, from visiting the Calvert Marine Museum and Chesapeake Biological Laboratory Visitors Center to enjoying the view from the town’s 16-foot-wide Riverwalk boardwalk. Those looking to relocate to this idyllic seaside town will be glad to know that development has experienced a boom in recent years. But with limited space, real estate values have remained high. This makes Solomons Island a great investment, particularly among retirees.
