About Spokane, Washington

The Spokane metropolitan area is home to 436,000 very fortunate people. Recently voted “All-American City,” one of the top places in the country to raise children, and one of the most intelligent communities in the nation, Spokane is an up-and-coming city already comfortable in its own skin. Originally home to the Spokanes, a Native American tribe known as “children of the sun,” Spokane was incorporated as a city in 1881.

Located in the heart of the Inland Northwest, Spokane is a medical, entertainment, and shopping hub for Eastern Washington, as well as parts of Oregon, Idaho, and Western Montana. Riverfront Park in the heart of Spokane was created to play host to Expo ‘74. No more than a day’s drive from 12 national parks, not to mention the 60 parks maintained by the city itself, residents of Spokane never find themselves far from outdoor recreation.

With more than 80 organizations dedicated to theater, galleries, dance, and music, Spokane’s arts community is flourishing. A downtown core that is pulsing with restaurants, shopping, and national tours that stop here regularly keep the city of Spokane in the cultural know.

Homes for sale in Spokane are affordable and the real estate choices are abundant. From mid-century single family homes, to world-class condominiums, every family will find what they’re looking for in Spokane.
