In 1955, the president of a local department store chain declared that the intersection of Princeton and Kemper roads in Springdale had the greatest potential for growth in Hamilton County. He chose it as the site for Tri-County Shopping Center, which has grown to become a 180-store, two-level mall. The mall continues to be a major attraction in this thriving neighborhood. New addition to shopping here is the $5-million Springdale Town Center, a retail center on Springfield Pike and Kemper Road. Homes are newer traditionals and ranches, plus condominiums and apartments. Several office and industrial parks are here, along with cinemas, several fine restaurants, parks, and shops galore.
