Welcome to Knoxville, TN

Until 1812, Knoxville was the capital of Tennessee. Today, it is the business, education and medical center of East Tennessee.

Knoxville is the most centrally located city in the eastern United States with Interstates 40, 75, and 81 converging from the north, south, east and west. Fifty percent of the nation’s population lives within a day’s drive from Knoxville.

East Tennessee offers four distinct seasons – dogwoods in the spring, green and gentle summers, magnificent fall colors and mild brief winters. The annual average temperature is 58 degrees.

Five of the “Great Lakes of the South” are within 30 miles of Knoxville. The lakes provide more than 3,000 miles of shoreline with a wide variety of recreational activities; sailing, power boating, fishing, swimming, camping, whitewater rafting.

The cultural atmosphere offers a depth of artistic talent. The University and Knoxville’s performing arts programs are characterized by high levels of professional achievement, excellent facilities, and extensive community support.

Home of the “1982 World’s Fair” – Knoxville offers unlimited growth and development.

Tennessee is one of the “no income tax” states with limited tax on interest and dividends.
