Welcome to Shelbyville, TN

Shelbyville, Tennessee, has a population of around 16,000 and is the heart of Bedford County, located just south of Murfreesboro in Rutherford County (which is the center of the state of Tennessee). It is most famous for the Tennessee Walking Horse and the “Celebration” as locals call it, held yearly in late August / early September. The beautiful farmlands and affordable housing in Shelbyville, Tennessee make this area a very attractive location to commuters working in Nashville. The area itself is also known for manufacturing and industrial jobs. You can build your dream home on acreage, fish in the Duck River, and still be within a reasonable commute to several area lakes, the states capital, and the Nashville downtown nightlife.
