Beaumont and the surrounding area of Southeast Texas is home to almost half a million people. Our new community brand, RICH WITH OPPORTUNITY, has been true at least since 1901 when Spindletop ushered in the modern petrochemical era and made Beaumont the birthplace of American energy.

Other tremendous natural resources include The Big Thicket National Preserve, Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center, Pleasure Island Parks, and an abundance of hiking, boating, fishing, canoeing, hunting, bird watching and other outdoor activities ten months out of the year.

The City of Beaumont is experiencing an exciting time with a redevelopment project in the downtown area. When the project is complete it will feature a state-of-the-art event center, an adjacent two-acre lake with canals running to the Neches River and a beautiful great lawn. Add that to the many museums and entertainment venues and we have another point of community pride for everyone to enjoy.

Beaumont is the home of Lamar University, a global leader in engineering with a student body of 11,000 plus. In addition, our Pre-K-12 are outstanding schools with high ratings and many new buildings under construction.

Beaumont has one of the country’s strongest housing markets with a good and affordable supply of both single and multi family residences. With our temperate climate and long growing season we are green most of the year. We have picturesque neighborhoods and building sites with gorgeous towering oaks and evergreens of all descriptions.
