About Tigard, Oregon

Resting in the Tualatin Valley just ten miles southwest of downtown Portland, Tigard is a warm and welcoming community of approximately 47,000 people. As a community that has seen rapid growth over the past several years, Tigard residents strive to create a city with all the amenities expected of a modern-day metropolitan area while still maintaining a small-town vibe.

Close-knit neighborhoods congregate around schools, making Tigard an extremely family-oriented community. Summer and after-school programs are offered through the new library and other community programs. A spring-through-fall farmers' market and Washington Square, one of the Northwest's premier shopping centers, also provide family-friendly gathering places.

Tigard is a historic site that was first settled during the late nineteenth century, and homes for sale in the city reflect this heritage. However, recent growth has led to well-apportioned and thoughtful new construction. There is real estate in Tigard to meet the needs of every family.
