Tonganoxie, Kansas is a friendly little city located in Leavenworth County, in northeast Kansas, between Kansas City and Lawrence, Kansas. It enjoys all the advantages of close proximity to a major urban center and a large university town. With a population of over 3,500 residents, Tonganoxie is the 6th fastest growing community in the state of Kansas, but it remains far enough removed to retain a distinctive small-town flavor and attitude. The residents are friendly and quick to help their neighbors.

Housing in Tonganoxie remains very affordable. With several single family subdivisions, multifamily neighborhoods and townhomes, people moving to Tonganoxie have a good choice of housing options.
