Welcome to Union, OhioUnion, Ohio is located approximately 15 miles north of Dayton in Montgomery, County, Ohio. With a population of nearly 6,400, Union’s City Charter was adopted in 1981 enacting a mayor/council/city manager form of government. The City Manager is appointed by the Mayor and City Council and the City Manager carries out the policies of council and is responsible for day-to-day operations of the City.
Residents of Union are served by the Northmont City Schools if their homes are west of the Stillwater River or the Vandalia-Butler City Schools if they reside east of the Stillwater River. Private school opportunities are available within a 15-minute radius of Union.
A 25-acre community park, located on Phillipsburg-Union Road, includes four softball/baseball diamonds (two with lights) and Union has several neighborhood parks. Residents of Union enjoy many of the amenities available through the Montgomery County’s MetroParks system.
