Fairfax County, Virginia

First known for its agricultural community, Fairfax is the most populated county in all of Northern Virginia. Also rich in Civil War history it is famous for Mt. Vernon, George Washington’s home. It is a large county, 381 square miles, which offers everything from rich urban living in gently rolling hills to commercial centers with modern office complexes like those in Tysons Corner and the Dulles Airport Corridor.

Fairfax County prides itself in its high level of public education, health care and transportation. Wolf Trap Farm Park for the Performing Arts is a fabulous venue for outdoor theater, opera, ballet and other performances. It has Occoquan Regional Park along the Potomac River and a 44 mile long Washington and Old Dominion Regional Trail for hiking and biking. There are community tennis courts, golf courses, swimming pools and summer programs for art, dancing, choral and theater. More than 60 shopping areas offer everything from high end shopping to discount stores.

Fairfax County communities are Annandale, Burke, Centerville, Chantilly, Clifton, Fairfax Station, Great Falls, Herndon, McLean, Mount Vernon, Oakton, Reston, Springfield and Vienna.
