About Northfield, Vermont

Northfield, home of Norwich University, is a quintessential college town complete with a classic Vermont Green in the center of town. With a population of just under 6,000 Northfield has a vibrant downtown without losing its rural roots. Northfield is home to at least three covered bridges.

Golfers will enjoy the Northfield Country Club. The University regularly hosts a wealth of outside events and exhibits. The Norwich Cadets are perennial top contenders in several Division III collegiate sports programs including two national championships in ice hockey.
