About Rochester, Vermont

Nestled in the Green Mountains, Rochester is comprised of nearly 36,000 beautiful acres. South of spectacular Granville Gulf on VT Route 100, Rochester is the gateway to the Mad River Valley.

Incorporated in 1781, the village is a classic small Vermont town with a beautiful Village Green and a quaint shopping district. The area is abundant with hiking and biking trails that wind through state and national forest land. The famous Long Trail goes through Rochester including peaks over 3,000 feet high.

The hosing stock in Rochester includes farms, Victorians, New England style homes and vacation retreats as well as a few unassuming luxury condos overlooking the village green.
