Lake Stevens, Washington - A Picturesque Retreat

The city of Lake Stevens is situated eight miles east of Everett on the northeast corner of the Lake which covers 1,040 acres and is fed naturally from local springs and creeks. Forty freeway miles to Seattle and 50 miles to Seatac International Airport, many of Lake Stevens' city residents work in Everett or greater Seattle. One of Boeing's aircraft construction plants is located in South Everett and supplies lucrative employment.
With a city population of 7,200 and nearly 30,000 in greater Lake Stevens, residents enjoy reasonably priced housing, a low crime rate, and a small town feel perfect for young families.

Active youngsters benefit from the Lake Stevens Junior Athletic Association Sport Activities such as football, basketball, soccer, and baseball, and the new Boys and Girls Club offers after school activities. The Lake Stevens Family Center provides youth recreation programs during summer and spring breaks, parenting classes, homework groups, babysitting classes, and other various learning opportunities for the whole family.
Lake Stevens High School is complete with a Performing Arts Center, used for local theatre and musical groups. Nearby, the Everett Performing Arts Center and the recently restored Historical Marysville Opera House also presents numerous top notch productions throughout the year.

Regardless of the time of year, temperatures are moderate. Close to Puget Sound and the Pacific Ocean, Lake Stevens' summer temperatures vary between seventy and eighty degrees and winter only sees two to three modest snowfalls. Lake Stevens is perfect in the summer for water skiing, sailing, canoeing, and swimming. With breathtaking Cascade Mountain views to the east, Lake Stevens' locals also admire the varying waterfront homes and take advantage of year round fishing. Lake Stevens is an oasis for folks to admire unspoiled beauty and a haven for those who choose to call it home.
