Walnut, California

Walnut, California is known for its namesake, Walnut became a city in the 1960s, starting with only a little over a thousand homes. In 2004 the state counted more than 8,000 housing units. Walnut is a bedroom city located just north of the City of Industry. Children attend schools in the Walnut Valley Unified School District, which also includes part of Diamond Bar. Scores range from the 70th to the 90th percentile. Walnut is home to Mount San Antonio Community College, or as it is more commonly called, Mount SAC. The city also includes horse trails and several parks.
