Washington D.C.’s Four QuadrantsWashington D.C. can be broken up into four quadrants, each quadrant offering its own unique environment. Northeast D.C. contains the neighborhoods of Capitol Hill and Brookland, which are popular among homebuyers because of its rowhouses, Federal townhouses, and manor houses built in the 19th century. Two attractions in this area are Union Station and the United States National Arboretum. Northwest D.C. contains a wide variety of neighborhoods, perhaps the most famous being that of Georgetown— D.C.’s oldest neighborhood that features Georgian mansions, Victorian Queen Anne row houses, and Federal houses. Southeast D.C. contains the very popular neighborhood that surrounds the Eastern Market, a bustling 130 year old farmers’ market that sells not only food, but antiques and artwork. The area is typical of charming rowhouses and tree-lined streets. The Southwest area of D.C. is desirable due to its close proximity to all the monuments and major city attractions. The Southwest Waterfront area, located along the banks of the Potomac, is a popular pick for those searching for homes in Washington D.C.
Few cities in the United States offer such an expansive list of career opportunities and major attractions as the city of Washington, D.C. And with market that features a wide variety of real estate in all parts of the city, it is easy to find your dream home in Washington, D.C.
