The City of Weatherby Lake, MOThe City of Weatherby Lake was incorporated in 1959. It is a private lake community located just north of Kansas City, Missouri and minutes from Kansas City International Airport. It is surrounded by major thoroughfares I-435, I-29 and Highway 152 making it accessible to any of the many Kansas City areas.
The community covers 836 acres with the lake consisting of 274 of those acres. The Lake that the city is named after was created in 1937. Weatherby Lake is lake-living on the Kansas City doorstep. The winding roads, native trees and the many natural areas make this a nature lover’s oasis. Weatherby Lake offers a variety of recreational activities that define lake-living. The city supports 8 parks and has its own community center.
The population of the Weatherby is approximately 2,000 residents with 736 homes. They are fortunate to be in the flourishing Parkhill School District. They operate their own Police Departments, Public Works, City Hall and Municipal Court.
